All jobs are contract managed. In conservation areas, our architects work on behalf of clients with councils, dealing with all planning, conservation and historic issues. In these areas we have products such as Conservation Sashes, Box Sashes, French Doors, Entrance Doors, Casement Windows and Historic Box Sashes. We adhere to all guidelines as required -- safety glass is standard practice -- our company is built on honesty and reliability. We use Premium Grade Wood for our Conservation products. We select Hardwood from environmentally friendly sustainable sources, direct from an English Mill that sources its wood from F.S.C. (Forest Stewardship Council). Restoration of Sash Windows in London by Sash Masters This process includes removing staff beads, parting beads, sash weights, top and bottom sashes and sash cord. For draught proofing, we machine router out each sash with a channel to insert a draught proofing brush pile; fit new parting beads and head beads with brush seals; replace new staff beads with mitred joints and insert the draught proofing brush pile. All sash cords are replaced and fit to each sash accordingly; pulley wheels are waxed and/or replaced and weights adjusted where necessary to balance out the sashes. Finally the windows are tested for correct alignment and performance, and window furniture is adjusted or replaced where necessary. On occassion we have lead weights custom made to fit windows for individual clients needs; we also still use traditional methods for bending Oak and other Hardwood, using a Steam Box. We can make bespoke Stained Glass to any specific requirements; we also cater for Leaded Glass, Hand Painted Stained Glass, Toughened Glass, Acoustic Glass and Safety Glass.
