"Failure is not an option" I did get a chance to meet the real life Gene Kranz (Apollo 13 Flight Director) and hear him speak about the goal they were trying to achieve and how it became a rescue mission instead. Gene coined the phrase "Failure is not an option" although he said he never stated it during the mission, it became his moniker as this was the underlying message he gave the whole mission team.
